Just like in any business we get lots of calls from potential customers who all seem to ask the same questions over and over again. Will my elliptical fit under a 7′ ceiling in my basement? If I put my treadmill in the garage and it is humid will it void my warranty? bla bla bla. But there is one issue that bugs me and it has something to do with our business model.
Yowza was founded based on the idea that a truly factory direct business model can save consumers hundreds or even thousands on their purchase. But, by selling direct we are eliminating the retail showrooms where folks may want try out the unit. We do explain that we have a 60 day in-home trial period where you can return the machine if you don’t like it for a full refund. But considering the return shipping cost
and size of our products, that can be a daunting task.
So I’d like to float the idea of starting a “Happy Yowza customer 10 minute demo program” the idea is that Yowza customers could voluntarily sign on to allow potential customers to come over and try our machine in a home setting for roughly about 10 minutes. The “happy customer” who provides the demo will get some sort of compensation for this service. We have talked about things like paying $50 for every demo that results in a sale, or giving a discount up front with the purchase if you sign onto the demo program. To be honest, I am open to any and all suggestions as this exercise is just to see how the folks feel about such an idea.
So please take the time and comment on this post with any feedback that you may have. Also understand that Yowza Fitness will respect your privacy and never give out your contact information unless you have asked us to.
Best Regards,
Joe Alter

I am considering the Captiva and live in Denver. I would be willing to try one out I feel like that’s the only thing holding me back. I think comfort is the most important feature and don’t feel comfortable spending $2000 without being able to test it out.
Elizabeth, I don’t know if you are still in the market for an elliptical but we just started a demo program where our customers will demo the unit for you. Call us at 877-969-9240 if you are interested.
Thanks,
Joe A.
This is a great idea. After reading the reviews I liked the Largo. I am very much interested in purchasing one but I would like to try one out before that because of the same reasons you mentioned in your blog. I was almost going to give up the idea of buying one because there was no way to try one out. That’s when I noticed the demo program. I called for setting up a demo and waiting for a reply. Hopefully there’ll be somebody around Chicago who will be willing to give a demo.
Fabulous post.! I enjoy coming to your blog because of the writers often post informative articles. Thanks for sharing once again. I in the process adding to favorites this website. I am going to subscribe to this feed also. Thanks! ….
You write:
“Lastly the most intense Core interval motion involves criss-crossing your arms by grabbing the right handle with your left arm and visa verse. You should grab the middle of the upper grip position and aggressively pull across your body and down with each movement.”
I tried it. You must be kidding!. Crisscrossing the arms is downright awkward!!
Mr. Smith. That may be true that it feels awkward to you but let me just say one thing – It works. This morning I did a workout with a Crossfit group I go to, and we did upside down shoulder presses on handstands, dips while hanging from gymnastics rings and various other stuff that was designed by some masochist! Actually though, we show all those eight Cardio Core movements with the idea that you can pick some of them and incorporate them into your interval workout in order to hit different body parts. I fully understand that some movements will not work well for everybody, simply due to varying body types heights and levels of flexibility. Sometimes I forget that I am Gumby but most people are not!
really beneficial perspective on the subject and extremely nicely written, this certainly has put a spin on my day, quite a few thanks from the USA and retain up the beneficial work
Great idea. I just ordered the Captiva without being able to try it out. This would have been a valuable tool. I would love to share my experience with others if I love it as much as I hope to!
Exceptionally informative thanks, I believe your current followers will likely want significantly more information of this nature continue the good work.
Did this program take off? I’m in Charleston WV and would like to try before I buy.

Shane
Shane, Yes it did. You can go online and find the closest Demo partner or just call our 800# to line up a visit.
Can you post the link where I can locate the closest demo partner? I can’t seem to find it on the site.
Thanks,
Shane
You just go to the actual product page on our site and you will see a rectangular box under the Add to Cart button which says, “Want to Try before you buy?” Click on that and it will bring you to the place where you can find our demo partners by searching by zip code etc.
Thx.
